No, no, I'm not talking about something I knit. (I have been doing very little of that lately which is probably why I've been so cranky.) I'm talking about moving - - which didn't go so smoothly. We've only got 1/2 the floor in the bathroom and we really didn't start moving until the 23rd. (Did I mention stress?) And did I also mention that I hadn't done any Christmas shopping either?? Yeah, now you get the picture!
I also want to mention what a pain in the a$$ it is to move without boxes. What? YEAH! we moved without boxes. I know, that's like swinging on a trapeze without a net. We had clothes EVERYWHERE. Who knows where my latest knitting project is or any yarn for that matter.
The best part of this whole scenario is that it is over. Well for the most part anyway. I still have to get clothes put away and call about the other half of the flooring, but that's a piece of cake. Hmm, what's that bag tucked into that corner over there? Right on! It's a knitting bag! Gonna cut this short and maybe knit a few rows....

MOVING DAY!
At least I hope it's moving day.
Tired, feeling funky too. Drank too much at Big Brudda's house. Hey, it's Christmas, I had to get in the spirit, didn't I? Yeah, well, maybe next time Sean won't have to pour me into the car to bring me home.
I should be packing. Instead I'm writing a post for a blog nobody reads. LMAO. Well it's here. And it's proof that I'm here.
Ay yay yay - - back to thinking about packing. Not that I have a lot of stuff to pack. I still have a lot of stuff at Tom's. Guess I'll get it when the judge says I can. For now, I barely have a pot to piss in. That is when the flooring guys install it after they put in the bathroom floor. I sure hope they finish today - - I don't want to have to keep going to the Valero gas station to pee...

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas
Did somebody say STRESS?
Uh, yeah. Got it in spades.
Christmas.
Moving.
But moving during Christmas? That is the ultimate. What's gone wrong? Everything.
Have I done any Christmas shopping? No. Am I serious? Yes. We don't even have a tree up yet. Wow! Procrastinator, thy name is Lisa. I am going to be one of those last minute shoppers out there on Christmas Eve. Maybe this way I'll find some great bargains. Either that, or I'll quit trying to find each kid the "perfect" gift and just get them gift certificates. That will work for my kids, but Sean's are young and young kids like unwrapping presents.
Wow, just thinking about all this makes me tired.
Somebody wake me when all this is over..

Don't you just love Sundays?
Ahhhh, Sunday.
Sleeping in. Pancakes. A long shower without worrying about the time.
Lionel Ritchie wrote it in a song when he was with the Commodores - - Easy like a Sunday morning. Yeah, go figure, I'm feelin' a lot like Lionel this morning. "I wanna be high, so high; I wanna be free to know the things I do are right. I wanna be free, Just me, babe! that's why I'm easy...." Yeah, thank your lucky stars that you're only reading this and not listening to it. What's that Trudy? Yeah, yeah, mama will stop singing now.

Not ALL dogs look good in sweaters
After checking out the internet for sweater patterns for dogs and my sisters VAST library and not getting anywhere, I guess I have to face it - - Trudy is a plus-size dog. I don't think I could knit a sweater that would be very flattering. And that's okay because she doesn't really go outdoors much anyway. Trudy's idea of roughing it is when we wash the cover to her dog bed and she has to lay on the bare floor.
Isn't it ironic that two people who are actively involved in just about everything have a dog that is more a part of the furniture than a pet? Maybe it's a better fit than we thought. She waits patiently for us and is not demanding of our already scarce time. All she asks of us is a warm bed (most of the time it's our bed she's layin' in which drives me nuts) and food. And what does she give back? Unconditional love.
And it's because of this love from a plus-size dog that I'm going back to surf the net for the perfect sweater pattern for my precious Trudy.

Welcome to the 21st Century, Q
Okay, now I've done it - - what now? What on Earth am I going to write about? Who's going to read it? Who wants to know what's going on in Lisa's world? I may never know, but here goes..
Lots and lots. Things are way different for me these days.
Divorce. Weight loss. New car
What am I doing? Working out, knitting, dealing with Trudy. Who's Trudy? Glad you asked. She is my 5 yr-old English Bulldog. Sean and I got her back in October from the SPCA. Who would give up a ton of love like that? Who knows. But that's exactly what Trudy is - - a ton of love. She charges like a rhino, but she's really a lamb. Hmm, wonder what color sweater should I knit for her...
